How to Calculate Calendar Duration
Calculating the duration between two dates is highly common in business planning, legal contracts, project timelines, and scientific calculations. This calculator is designed to execute standard calendar mathematics accurately.
Inclusive vs. Exclusive Dates
By default, calendar math counts the duration *between* two points, meaning the last day is excluded. For example, the difference between May 1st and May 2nd is exactly 1 day. However, for project management, employee attendance, or travel booking, both days are usually considered active. Checking the "Include end date in calculation" option adds exactly 1 day to the final count, representing a fully inclusive time window.
